The Forever Project: How Exercise Helps Us Like Our Bodies (And Ourselves) For the Long Haul (New Harbinger, 2026)
Interweaving compelling personal narrative and insightful, practical advice, Mikala charts her path from a teen suffering with binge eating disorder to becoming a certified fitness instructor and competitive powerlifter who feels better in and about her body. Along the way, she provides readers with an innovative blueprint for integrating exercise into their lives in new ways––but more importantly, she challenges readers to reframe what exercise is “for” and radically shift how they consider, discuss, and value their bodies.
