End the Mealtime Meltdown serves up the unnervingly familiar, yet largely unexamined phrases parents say to kids at mealtime. Things like,

"Take two more bites if you want dessert.”

“You liked lasagna last week?!” and

“You can’t say you don’t like it until you give it a try.”

Introducing Meyers’ concept of Table Talk, End the Mealtime Meltdown uncovers new insights for parents coping with food conflict. Galvanizing an “Aha!” awakening this book prompts readers’ discovery that what they say to kids about eating is sabotaging their efforts to instill healthy habits. A smorgasbord of “Say This, Not That,” to get kids eating well, this guilt-free guide trains readers how to use The Table Talk Method—a fresh approach for helping kids establish a healthy relationship with food that eases exasperation for everyone at the family table.
